1981 Obtained Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Dayton. Subsequent thereto, she matriculated to Howard University School of Law where upon graduation, in 1987, she served as a Law Clerk for the then Presiding Judge of the Family Division of the New Jersey Superior Court, Atlantic County. Upon completion of her clerkship she was hired by the City of Atlantic City and served as a Paralegal; thereafter, she was promoted to Assistant City Solicitor as legal counsel for the City Administration, its agencies and boards, and later served as the first female Personnel Director. In 2005, she was appointed the first female City Administrator for the City of Pleasantville, New Jersey. In January, 2011, she retired from the City of Atlantic City while serving in the position of Personnel Director. She is a member of the Supreme Court of New Jersey Committee on Character. In addition, she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Links, Inc., and Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

The role of Legal Advisor ensures that the business practices are in compliance with current laws, which requires not only being familiar with applicable laws, but an understanding of the business goals. She also researches issues that surface regarding the organization. This may involve her evaluating case law in the areas of education, intellectual property, insurance and indemnification, employment and labor, media and publishing, etc. The Legal Advisor is responsible for contract negotiations, document preparation, and policy development. If needed, the Legal Advisor will assist with litigation relevant to the organization.
